Interested in sending us news and reports/briefs on your country?

Global Learners has instituted a program for high school students outside of the U.S. to serve as ambassadors, helping increase both our content and our connection to your community!

Ambassador Features

Our ambassadors give us a truly unique “global perspective”. Here is an introduction to one of our new ambassadors.

Deeksha Aralelimath

“Hello, my name is Deeksha and I’m currently a senior in high school. I am from India and I am really passionate about books and writing. I am also a published poetry book author. The reason I am so interested in Global Learners is because of all the incredible work and interviews: especially Lavinia Stan’s. Current affairs to me feels like reading a book in a different POV. It’s understanding the world deeper and as it turns out, it is just as important. Every single voice matters so if people aren’t educated about the world, how can we expect them to make the choices that they want to? Freedom of information comes with the responsibility of learning it and every more so of teaching it. And by joining Global Learners, I want to be a part of helping people learn. I want people to understand what is going around them and I want them to make a choice that suits them.”

02: Start a Chapter (if you’re in high school and in the U.S.)!

From North Carolina to New York to Texas, we have chapters that do similar things to GL (in accordance with our mission).

  • You and your team would be in charge of projecting activities, videos, and articles into YOUR local elementary and middle schools, as well as completing your own chapter projects: examples could include creating an essay contest, making your own videos on current events, interviewing local teachers to talk about education, etc.

  • GL was built around busy high school schedules! We are here to support you, and remember that you will get out what you put in! If you like our mission, why not start a chapter?

  • Global Learners chapters are connected to a whole web of professors from top universities, people all over the world, and of course other high school connections. You also get to inspire the newest generations to continue exploring current news within groups that they find most interesting.

03: Volunteer as a high schooler!

Submit a solution-based piece for Global Learners! Pieces will open the door for further opportunities for you.
