The Articles.

OUR HUB FOR PERSPECTIVES

Our articles are written exclusively by the GL team. We write about eight major current events-related topics: medical news, legal and public policy news, climate news, educational systems news, war and conflict news, business and economic sphere news, mental health news, and animal and human rights news. We aim to keep these unbiased, yet unique to our organization and us as high school students.

As we are on a mission to promote current events to younger audiences, we believe that writing on our eight facets is one of the most impactful things we can do. Not only can traditional articles on complex international issues be difficult to read and provide little context, but they usually come with bias based on the affiliation of the news source. Our articles are written so you can have access to reliable and well-researched information on topics within current events, regardless of your age of background knowledge. We write these articles monthly, and they are always edited and fact-checked by multiple members of our team before they are published on our website. We aim to keep our content interesting and concise, and we hope you enjoy reading them!

Why Articles?

Our Approach.

Our co-founders were frustrated with the lack of reliable access to background knowledge on certain current events. If hearing about the news on a war, rarely did the typical news source article ever contain a substantial amount of background knowledge or context for the segment. We aim to fill these gaps, while also providing our own unique structures: as opposed to just writing passively about a current issue or topic within our facet, we focus more on an analysis of the topic and solution-based approach to writing. We want those who read our articles to be inspired to promote their own change and take action on issues that seem so far away from them, but in reality are so much closer than they think.
